I recently had a friend who’s completely new to TTRPGs show interest in Cat Cab, but she wasn’t sure how to start playing a solo game by herself.  Since Cat Cab is based on the open-source mechanics of Ironsworn, which also supports co-op and guided play, I decided to quickly adapt the rules and run a 1 GM + 1 player session for her.

And it worked really well.

If you’ve only played Cat Cab solo so far, I highly recommend trying it as a two-player guided game — it’s surprisingly smooth!
